March Madness = April Magic

📣 Community Conversation: Declining Enrollment & What It Means for Uni Hill

Join us virtually on Thursday, April 9 at 7pm (meeting link)

This is an important moment for our school community. Marina will walk us through:

  • What declining enrollment means for Uni Hill next year

(fewer students = reduced funding + fewer teachers)

  • What’s happening across BVSD

including district-wide trends and upcoming community engagement opportunities

💬 Why it matters:Uni Hill is a vital, unique part of Boulder. We need our community to show up, speak up, and share why our school matters—to ensure our voices are heard in district decisions.

Your UHE PTA Needs You — Board Elections on April 28!

It's that time of year! On April 28th, the UHE PTA will be holding elections for our 2026–27 Executive Board — and we're looking for passionate parents to step into these four key leadership roles:

• President – Leads monthly PTA meetings, writes community updates, and oversees PTA initiatives and events

• Vice President – Supports the President, helps coordinate operations, and typically transitions into the President role (2-year commitment)

• Secretary – Records meeting minutes, maintains records, and supports communications

• Treasurer – Manages PTA funds, provides financial reports, and ensures compliance and transparency

No special skills required. Seriously. What matters most is a firm commitment to the success of our kids and the future of Uni Hill Elementary. If you care about this school - and we know you do - you have exactly what it takes.

These roles are how our community gets things done: the events your kids love, the teacher appreciation moments, the programs that make Uni Hill special. None of it happens without parents like you willing to show up.

Interested in running, have questions or want to nominate someone you think would be great? Please reply to joshuardmartin@gmail.com as soon as possible so we can get your name on the ballot ahead of the April 28th vote.

Current members will be there to support the transition and remain available next year to consult as the new team ramps up.

Thank you for everything you do for our school community. We hope to see your name in the running!

With gratitude,

Ayeisha Mesinger

Outgoing PTA President on behalf of the The Uni Hill Elementary PTA Board
