UHE PTA · 3 DAYS TO GO
Four days until 5th grade continuation.Four days until the last school bell rings.Four days until the biggest celebration of the year.
This year asked a lot of UHE.
There were challenges. Budget cuts. Long meetings. Uncertainty. Thorns.
But there was also beauty:teachers showing up every day with heart,families stepping in to help,and a community that kept choosing each other again and again.
The roses and the thorns.
And through all of it, UHE kept moving forward — with resilience, creativity, joy, and deep love for kids at the center.
This year, UHE was also honored with the Distinguished Growth Award from the Governor of Colorado and the Colorado Department of Education — recognition of the incredible growth happening inside our classrooms every day.
Now it’s time to celebrate.
SPRING FIESTA PARA TODOS is here — our biggest party of the year and one final chance to come together before summer begins.
And this year, the celebration also carries a purpose:raising $120,000 to fund two classroom paras for next year.

UHE Families,
Walk into any classroom at University Hill and you'll see it: a kid stuck on a math problem until a para sits down next to her and stays. A first grader who needs a quiet voice and a steady hand to get through a hard morning. A small group reading in their second language while their teacher pulls the rest of the class forward.
This is what paras do. They are the reason every kid at UHE, regardless of language, learning needs, or what kind of day they walked in with, gets seen.
Next year, BVSD is cutting funding. Class sizes are growing. The paras who help hold our classrooms together are the first positions to disappear, and our teachers cannot do this work alone. 69% of our teachers said paras are their #1 priority and 71% of parents want more paras. They are not optional. They are how UHE works.
We're raising $120,000 to fund two full-time para educators for the 2026-27 school year. Every donated dollar is 100% tax deductible. Every dollar stays in our classrooms. Para Todos. For everyone. For every kid.
