WhatsApp Community Guidelines

WhatsApp Community Guidelines:

  • Post messages, announcements, or questions about grade or school information.

  • Keep messages respectful.

  • Do not mention student names or describe specific situations involving students.

  • Avoid direct conflict in the group channels.

  • Violating these guidelines may result in suspension or removal from the group.

Access to information matters

The PTA Board is establishing community guidelines for the WhatsApp groups used by University Hill Elementary families. The WhatsApp channels are meant for PTA updates, school-related communication, and community sharing (ie. public library programs, summer camps, etc.).

PTA Board Members will:

  • Moderate grade-level channels.

  • Communicate directly with anyone who violates the WhatsApp community guidelines.

  • Listen to all sides of any issues or conflicts outside of the group chat.

  • Not judge or take sides, but will work to provide guidance and resources.

Our goal is to create safe community spaces where everyone can access information. We care deeply about everyone in the UniHill community, and we believe that everyone should have access to the information posted in the groups.

However, we will not allow inappropriate messages or behavior in the group. Instead, we ask that you address any issues and conflicts through other channels. You can contact Principal Marina Orozco-Ngu (marina.orozco-ngu@bvsd.org), Vice Principal Sara Nelson (sara.nelson@bvsd.org), or the UniHill front office staff (720-561-5416).

The PTA Board is not here to judge, take sides, or resolve conflicts between students. However, we will do our best to address individual parent/guardian concerns outside of the group channels.
